Problems usually show up as computers resetting or giving
error
messages about data Loss. Flickering lights and appliances
that regularly fail are also typical signs of Power Quality Issues.

Power issues can be fixed for several hundreds of dollars usually, but a good APC UPS is still required to keep your servers going properly.
Two types of UPS exist: OnLine and Line Interactive.
Only OnLine are any good for computers, because they isolate the computer completely from the main line voltage. An Online UPS to run 2-3 computers costs about $800.
Line Interactive UPS's cost a lot less, but are not effective.
